Being a student-athlete at the University of Michigan means being part of something bigger than yourself. This experience provides incredible opportunities and allows you to build relationships that last long after you leave campus. Those who came before you have shaped your experiences and now you have the opportunity and responsibility to shape the future for the next generation of Wolverines. Engage with Michigan Athletics by giving your time, talent, and treasure to help foster a community of which we can all be proud.
Time: With 31 teams, we have numerous opportunities to watch our teams compete each year. Attend a game or an event to unite with fellow members of the Michigan Family and celebrate our accomplishments.
Talent: As a student-athlete alumnus/na, you have developed a unique set of skills preparing you to become a leader in your chosen field. Share your experiences with others by mentoring current student-athletes and helping them to become successful.
Treasure: Invest financially to improve the student-athlete experience. By being a donor to Michigan Athletics, you will help provide resources that ensure we continue to be the Leaders and Best in every way.
Remembering our champions is an important part of Michigan Athletics. Our student-athlete alumni have built a foundation of excellence and continue to inspire others long after they have left campus. The Weekend of Champions event is an opportunity to honor Big Ten and National Championship teams and individual national champions who contributed to making Michigan Athletics the Leaders and Best.
We will honor the 10th, 25th, 40th, & 50th anniversary of the championships won during that calendar year. Michigan Athletics will be hosting a pre-game tailgate at the recently renovated Crisler Center, available to all participating student-athlete alumni and their families. This is just one way we hope to show our student-athlete alumni that they will forever be part of the Michigan family.
The University of Michigan varsity block M is one of the most prestigious honors in collegiate athletics. Earning the block M is the first of many significant accomplishments our student-athletes will achieve. There is a sense of pride that comes along with earning and wearing the block M that cannot be replicated. With our partners at the Letterwinners M Club, we are re-launching this important letter jacket ceremony for our student-athletes. The Letter Jacket Ceremony will provide our student-athletes an opportunity to learn about the history and understand the responsibilities of wearing Michigan’s coveted varsity block M. It will be a grand celebration of the Michigan Tradition and the next generation of leaders!
Our student-athletes represent Michigan with the utmost integrity and respect. As they prepare to leave Michigan and become the Leaders and Best in their chosen avenue, Michigan Athletics looks to send them off in proper fashion. Coinciding with the university-wide commencement activities, Michigan Athletics will also be hosting a graduation reception and celebration. These two events will occur twice a year; in December for the Winter graduates and in May for the Spring graduates. Our student-athletes have invested themselves in Michigan Athletics and will forever be ambassadors of our program. We wish to send them off with a celebration that recognizes and honors all of the ways they have helped build on the tradition of Michigan Athletics.
Providing support to our 31 teams is a great way to stay engaged with Michigan Athletics. As a student-athlete alumnus/na, you will periodically receive communication regarding ticket opportunities in Ann Arbor and around the country.

Networking and Mentoring
Participating in the networking or mentoring programs will give you the opportunity to help the next generation of Wolverines to be successful once they leave campus. There are many ways to become involved, including attending networking events, providing one-on-one mentoring, sharing job/internship opportunities, or supporting career-specific student-athlete organizations. Many of these opportunities are run through the M-PACT (Michigan Professional and Career Transition) Program. For more information about the M-PACT Program and ways to give back, click here!
