The Priority Points Program is a comprehensive measure of your support for the University and Michigan Athletic Department. It provides a framework for the equitable allocation of donor experiences, such as eligibility for tickets and parking.
Calculating Priority Points
Please note: You begin accumulating points (including alumni points) after your first gift to Michigan Athletics. Priority points do not update automatically as gifts are made. Points are updated once a month.
Priority Points are assigned as follows:
1 Point – Athletic Donations
One point is awarded for every $100 in lifetime giving to the Michigan Athletic Department, including Preferred Seat Donations.
1 Point – Marching Band/Recreational Sports Donation
One point is awarded for every $100 in lifetime giving to the Michigan Marching Band.
1 Point – Lifetime University Donations
One point is awarded for every $1,000 in lifetime giving to the University of Michigan.
1 Point – Ticket Loyalty
One point is awarded for each year of consecutive season ticket purchase in every season-ticketed sport since 1992, which was the first year of electronic record-keeping. Donors must maintain season-ticket holder status in order to retain ticket loyalty points.
1 Point – Group Tickets
One point is awarded for purchasing 30 or more group tickets to a football game or 50 or more group tickets to a Men’s Basketball or Ice Hockey game.
20 Points – Michigan Alumni
Twenty points are awarded for alumni status, with a maximum of forty points per account. In order to be considered an alum, one must have received a Michigan degree. Only spouses and domestic partners are eligible to share accounts & points.
40 Points – U-M Letterwinner
Forty points are awarded to those who earned a varsity letter at Michigan with a maximum of eighty points per account.
