Block Out Bullying

The second annual Block Out Bullying event, which took place Sept. 20 at U-M’s Crisler Arena, taught AAPS students from Allen, Bach, Logan, Pattengill and Thurston elementary schools as well as Clague Middle School how to recognize and respond to bullying situation.

A Way to Thank All Our Student-Athlete AlumniTo generations of Michigan sports fans, the legendary names of Tom Harmon, the Wisterts, Ron Kramer, Bennie Oosterbaan, Gerald Ford and Desmond Howard have been brought back to life as the Michigan Athletic Department brings their legendary numbers back to the playing field.

Even for those who are too young to have remembered any of the great names and numbers, they now get to hear their stories as we honor those players as Michigan Legends as we did prior to our Notre Dame football game.

The University of Michigan ice hockey program and hockey alumnus Aaron Ward (1990-93) have partnered to announce the “Ward’s Warriors,” an initiative that will honor and recognize members of the United States military during the 2013-14 season.

At each Michigan hockey home game this season, seating will be provided in a Yost Ice Arena Champions Box providing these heroes the ultimate atmosphere to experience Michigan ice hockey.
